Wass turns 31 in best season to date
Daniel Wass is celebrating his 31st birthday this Sunday, and whilst his special day would normally fall just after the conclusion of the LaLiga season, this time around he finds himself in the midst of preparations to restart the 2019/20 campaign.

The interruption to the campaign came when he was enjoying one of the best spells of his career, in his second season at Valencia CF. Only captain Dani Parejo has played more than him this term, with the versatile Dane featuring in 3,067 minutes thus far.
Versatile and hardworking, Wass has been utilised at right back, right midfield, central midfield, on the left side of the pivot duo… wherever asked by coach Albert Celades.

In front of goal, Wass has scored twice in 2019/20, against Granada and Chelsea. He has also set up Kevin Gameiro, Ferran Torres (x2), Carlos Soler, Maxi Gómez and Parejo with assists. His performances have earned him a recall by Denmark, who qualified for the postponed European Championships. Now his focus is on LaLiga, which is under two weeks away from returning.
